Best time to Visit Masai mara national reserve.

Masai mara national reserve can be visited all year round. But there is that specific time   for the visit which supersedes other visiting times.  For Masai Mara, the best time to visit is between the month of   July and October, this due to a number of factors.  Some of include seeing the incredible movements of wildlife such as the famous wildebeest migration (world’s greatest exodus of animals) which sees a huge number of wildlife mostly wildebeests and zebras, departing the plains of Serengeti crossing the Mara river down to Masai Mara. So much happens during the migration   such as wildebeest being ambushed by prides of lions, crocodiles also grabbing the opportunities by laying ambush on the rivers to capture and feast on the crossing wildlife. If you happened to be on the safari during such moments you can’t afford to miss a single moment.

December to February are also great times to visit the Masai Mara reserve, this is because drier months are opportune times to see the big cats as well most of the wildlife species at the water areas. The wildlife flock the water areas to have a drink as well as cool off from the excess heat that comes with the dry spell.
