Cultural visit of the Masai people

The Masai people have lived in Masai mara for quit along time  spanning  hundreds of years. They still hold their cultural heritage   and practices with a little interference of modernity.    While on a safari to Masai mara, one can visit the Masai people communities and camps. The most notable community being the mara Rianda community.

The community is made up of about 48 houses engulfing   the Masai cattle kraal, their home surround the kraal in order to offer security  for their   livestock  from invaders and thieves that may attempt to steal. The visit to the community also acts as an opportunity to explore the diverse culture of the Masai people that has run for centuries and its still held to date.

Travelers are usually fascinate and awed the intriguing lifestyle of the Masai people and the camps. The  Masai people  also from time to time been receiving  environmental conservation programs such   as the use of biogas energy for cooking   which has not only fostered  hygiene and cleanliness but has the  saved the use of fire wood as  fuel for  cooking, thereby saving loss of forests from being cut  down.

 The funds collected from the community visits also help make sure community projects such as the above   get to a successful execution and sustainably. The funds also whilst  helping in the conservation of  the environment  help raise funds for the construction of schools  that have  given education to the children with in the communities.
