The mara river  is  undeniably  the world’s most  famous documentary  places. It derives its Fame from the famous wildebeest migration that sees millions of wildlife i.e. wildebeest, zebras and gazelles cross from Serengeti Tanzania crossing the  great mara river to Masai mara game reserve. The river has also got a big number of the huge Nile crocodiles   that are always on the wait from the crossing wildlife during the migration. The mara river starts is course from the Kenya highlands and pours its water in Lake Victoria one of the world’s largest fresh water lakes.

The mara river is a very relevant resource in the Masai area; it provides water for the huge number of wildlife and bird species that reside along it. During the rainy season, the river doubles its size as a result of the heavy torrential rains. The river crosses the heart of Masai mara reserve there by harboring several bird species and animals such as hippos, crocodiles and monitor lizards.

The biggest activity is the mara river is watching the wildebeest migrate crossing the river, as they battle the flowing water filled the crocodiles waiting to pounce on them. These points are often frequented by documentary officials from all over the world who come to film the great migration.
